SD1-Atticus never had the opportunity to go to school, so he wants better for his children
CM-He will force Scout to go to school because he wants her to get a good education

CM-He explains the importance of school

SD2-Atticus explains that not going to school is against the law

CM-He talks about the Ewells as an example

CM-He talks about how the law can be bent under certain situations, but not for normal ones

SD3-Atticus talks about reading our of school

CM-He says that she should still read with him, even though her teacher said she can't

CM-He told her not to tell Miss Caroline

SD1-Education is all around us

CM-we can use it to help us succeed in our lives

CM-we should always take an opportunity to learn because it is the best thing we can give ourselves

SD2-when we have opportunities that others do not have, we should take them

CM-we can learn from everything around us

CM-ignorance can destroy everything we work for

SD3-By ignoring the help that we have, we are missing out on things that are important for us.

CM-only we can stop ourselves from reaching our personal best

CM-bad habits only harm ourselves and are useless
