Privacy
An Essay on the Book To Kill a Mocking Bird

(Sentence 1)Privacy is an essential part of our existence.(Sentence 2)We see it, use it, and rely on it much more that we think.(Sentence 3)With out it, we would not be able to function properly because of the way we saw others.(Sentence 4)Privacy keeps our personal opinions separate from the rest of the world and keeps our feelings from those who do not need to hear them.

(TS)Privacy is something that can be hard for some, and easy for others.(SD)In the book To Kill a Mocking Bird, most of the main characters find out that at different times, privacy can be just as hard to deal with as it is easy.(CM)To the people of Maycomb, Boo Radley is well known by the descriptions people give him.(CM)He has been able to perfect the art of privacy and now has people coming up with their own gossip, which leaves him to do whatever he pleases(SD)When Scout notices that Walter Cunningham pours molasses on his food she immediately called him on it, making him feel uncomfortably.(CM)If she had taken more time to think about her action, she might have realized that it was an invasion of privacy to ask a question in such a blunt manor.(CM)Walter was probably embarrassed about the way he lives, and didn't want to discuss the subject anywhere but the privacy of his own home.(SD)Another example of how people learn about privacy is when Atticus caught the children in the middle their next plan.(CM)Atticus did not approve of the plan and told them to "...stop tormenting the man."The children wanted to keep their plan private from Atticus so they could continue on with what they were planning on doing with out any complications.(CS)This chapter is a good example of how privacy can be so hard to maintain when other people do not cooperate.
(TS)Privacy is a much more potent force that we think.(SD)"We are rapidly entering the age of no privacy, where everyone is open to surveillance at all times; where there are no secrets...".(CM)This quote by William Orville Douglass is very true and means we are loosing the ability to keep information and emotions private.(CM)We have to start being more careful about what we let slip when we talk because private information is seeping in casual conversations and disintegrating our privacy.(SD)We also use privacy to manipulate people.(CM)By holding information that others want, we can get information that we want much easier.(CM)This shows just how much other peoples thoughts matter.(SD)We as people care far to much for other peoples thoughts.(CM)We are so obsessed with knowing them, they start to take over our lives.(CM)If there was no privacy in the world, we would be completely possessed by the now public thoughts of the people around us, turning us into brainwashed, self conscience fools that no longer realize the important things in life.(CS)To have privacy is a good thing because with out it, we would be very distracted and not be able to archive our very best.

(Sentence 1)We need privacy to survive.(Sentence 2)Without it, we would be constantly worrying about what other people were thinking that we wouldn't get anything done.(Sentence 3)In the book To Kill a Mocking Bird, we see how different people use privacy and different people respond to it.(Sentence 4)It's just another one of those things you can't live with too much or to little of.
